⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Exactly as described cast iron pan. Great for daily use. The handle keeps getting loose though. But its an easy fix - just twist it tight. For those used to light aluminum non-stick pans, a cast iron pan feels really heavy initially. You'll get used to it in a couple of days. Rust easily if there is any moisture left on the pan for a long time - its common to all cast iron utensils.

Super! Super product..it's heavy..that's hw a perfect cast iron shud be..i cleaned it first with soap and water and dried it out..added around 2 tbsp of gingelly oil..heated it for some time and smeared it around the entire pan with a half cut onion for around 5 mins, removed the excess oil, wiped it out with a kitchen tissue, broke an egg and made scrambled egg, smeared it around to every corner..again threw it off..boiled some water, threw it, and then made fish fry..came out so well..i am so happy...thank u

Bought this pan hoping I’ll be able to manage cooking with a cast iron skillet. Quality is fine and as per images and product details.
What impressed me was the sheet of Detailed instructions provided by the seller on how to season the pan and use cast iron in cooking. it’s easy to use once one follows the instructions. Would recommend it to everyone who enjoys cooking!

Seasoning & Care

Easy to clean and lasts forever with proper care - simply hand wash with gentle soap and warm water and dry thoroughly. Season after every use.

Some additional quick tips for how you can care for your product:

1. Cast iron products can break from thermal shock; i.e. dipping in very hot or cold water. Always allow your product to cool before washing.

2. Wash lightly in warm water after each use.  Do not use a scouring pad, stiff brush or detergent, as you want the seasoning to remain.

3. Never let the product soak in water and always dry well to prevent rust. Apply a light coating of vegetable oil inside the product to help maintain the seasoning.

Seasoning your product using an Oven:

1. Preheat your oven to 325-degrees Fahrenheit. While your oven's heating up, wash your cast iron product with hot water and just a touch of soap. You may have heard that soap and cast irons shouldn't mix, so that you don't wear away the seasoning.

2. Dry the product with a cloth or paper towel completely. Then apply a layer of vegetable oil to the entire product, inside and out, with a paper towel.

3. With your oven, place the product upside down on the middle rack. On the lower rack, lay out aluminium foil or a baking tray to catch any dripping oil.

4. Bake your product for about an hour. After an hour turn your oven off and let the oven cool. This'll take a while, as cast irons get very hot and like to stay that way.

Seasoning your product using a Stove:

1. Heat the product on the stovetop over medium-high heat and rub with a vegetable oil-soaked paper towel or rag.

2. Allow the product to dry out on the stovetop.

3. Repeat this process until skillet looks glossy, smooth, and dark, and is not sticky or patchy, about 3 rounds. Let cool and rub with a final light coat of oil and store in a dry place.

Warranty

With proper care, cast iron products are meant to last generations. We hope yours does too! However, if you face any manufacturing defect with your product in the first three years of use, please feel free to reach out to us and we will rectify the issue for you. We do not replace products which are rusted and request you to follow proper procedure to season your product as this is the most common cause of complaints that new users of cast iron cookware face. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, misuse, abuse or commercial use, rust / stains / discoloration / damage from overheating, or discoloration caused by microwave or dishwasher use or use of sharp metal utensil. There are several online resources available which will explain how to care for your products.

Certification

Healthy Choices cast iron products are manufactured in facilities in China with LFGB (Germany), FDA (USA) and CA65 (California, USA) certification. Moreover the products have passed American Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Compliance Policy Guides Sec. 545.500 (CPG 7117.05) test for checking extractable lead content in the products. It is quite rare to find this high degree of certification in factories manufacturing such products (anywhere in the world).
