Seasoning & Care

Easy to clean and lasts forever with proper care - simply hand wash with gentle soap and warm water and dry thoroughly.

 

Some additional quick tips for how you can care for your product:

 

1. Cast iron products can break from thermal shock; i.e. dipping in very hot or cold water.  Always allow your product to cool before washing.

2. Wash lightly in warm water after each use.  Do not use a scouring pad, stiff brush or detergent, as you want the seasoning to remain.

3. Never let the product soak in water and always dry well to prevent rust. Apply a light coating of vegetable oil inside the product to help maintain the seasoning.

 

Seasoning not required for enamel coated products.

With proper care, cast iron products are meant to last generations. We hope yours does too! However, if you face any manufacturing defect with your product in the first three years of use, please feel free to reach out to us and we will rectify the issue for you. We do not replace products which are rusted and request you to follow proper procedure to season your product as this is the most common cause of complaints that new users of cast iron cookware face. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, misuse, abuse or commercial use, rust / stains / discoloration / damage from overheating, or discoloration caused by microwave or dishwasher use or use of sharp metal utensil. There are several online resources available which will explain how to care for your products.

Healthy Choices cast iron products are manufactured in facilities in China with LFGB (Germany), FDA (USA) and CA65 (California, USA) certification. Moreover the products have passed American Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Compliance Policy Guides Sec. 545.500 (CPG 7117.05) test for checking extractable lead content in the products. It is quite rare to find this high degree of certification in factories manufacturing such products (anywhere in the world).
