Great pan for making omlettes. It's exactly the size for making a 2 egg omelette. It's heavy since it's iron. I had no idea that iron pans could be seasoned and become non-stick with vegetable oil. The handle is sturdy. Edges are tall enough to cook chicken or fish for 2 people. And construction quality is good. There was no rusting or holes.
It's removable handle is super useful when you are making pizza and want to pull it out of the oven. No need of oven mittens or anything else
strong and sturdy. Excellent thickness of Tava, good heat distribution. The product still had some amount of black powder coating when it arrived so am not very sure whether it was pre seasoned. Anyway I took the pre caution of doing a three step instant seasoning. First step to rub it with oil and salt on all sides, it takes time and a lot of effort as you see blackness coming out. Second step to rub lots of flaxseed oil on it and third step to rub oil on it with onion. And soon after that I used the tava to make dosas. First few times tava worked ok but as I am continuing to use it, is really getting better with every usage. Also everytime at the start of use I season it with oil and then once I start making dosas I cool it down after every dosa, they are coming out very nice. Batter consistency is also important if you want crispy ones. I had been wanting to buy an iron skillet for so long. Very happy with this purchase.
Very good tawa and quality looks to be good.
Hoping it's composition is also good.
Go for it and good alternative to non-stick.
Prpepared dosa and works very nicely. Dosa does not stick, followed following step as mentioned in wesite
